Blake Douglas

Blake is a singer, actor and dancer, currently training at the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) in Musical Theatre. He is a multifaceted and experienced performer with credits such as; featured artist (vocalist) in both the NSW Schools Spectacular (2019-2020) and Southern Stars (2018-2019), featured ensemble in So Popera Production’s ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ and ‘Grease’ and featured vocalist in the ‘Cantabile Music Festival’ and ‘NSW Public Education Foundation Awards’

He has also been a familiar face in Illawarra theatre, portraying roles such as ‘Vlad Vladikoff’ – Seussical, ‘Lord Evelyn Oakleigh’ – Anything Goes, ‘Sky Masterson’ – Guys and Dolls and ‘Gomez Addams’ – The Addams Family. Blake has been vocally trained under Jennifer Turnbull since 2015, in styles ranging from classical opera to jazz, pop and musical theatre.

Blake is a dynamic and passionate teacher who utilises a thorough technical foundation to compliment an engaging and fun learning environment. He seeks to develop and refine student’s confidence, creativity, stagecraft, piano and vocal skills through a balanced practical and theoretical approach.
